National Principal’s Cup: Coordinators Visit Igbobi College Lagos.

As the kick off of the first National Principals Cup draws closer, the coordinators of the event were at Igbobi college Yaba to assess the level of preparedness of the school team and also boost their morale as they get ready for the curtain raiser match against Government college of Kaduna slated for February 12, 2021. The visit was something to remember for the student who had a one on one interaction with former Super Eagles goalkeeper and Olympic Gold medalist, Joseph Dosu who is an ambassador of the Principals Cup. Mr Joseph Dosu who happens to be an old boy of the school, while donating Jerseys and kits to the school charged the boys to be disciplined, dedicated and determined  as they will need all three virtues if they are to conquer the rest of the nation and emerge champions of the forthcoming tournament “On the 12th of February, I will be at the Stadium smiling even without kicking the ball (knowing) that you will surely defeat Government college of Kaduna, I started from this very pitch as a student of Igbobi college, I was recruited from Igbobi college to Nigerlos fc. The most important thing, whether as a footballer or anything you want to achieve in life, first of all is your determination, the second is dedication and the third is discipline then you cap it up with prayer and when you have all these, I think the sky is surely your limit”.

Another ambassador of the event and ex Nigerian International  Mr Tajudeen Disu expressed his delight for the return of the principals cup as he noted that ‘our National teams are suffering partly because we abandoned the Principals Cup which was a channel through which great talents were discovered in years past’. On his part, the chief coordinators of the National Principals Cup, Mr Tony Pemu said “we will try and create all the awareness and ensure that people talk less about foreign Leagues and concentrate more on the principals Cup, the vision is to make it the biggest youth sporting event in Africa.
